- Inaugural supporter of Georgians for Local Area School Systems (GLASS) and actively engaged in efforts to gain local control of Dunwoody schools
- Organized fundraising campaign to replace stolen archery equipment at Chesnut ES
- Worked with DeKalb County School District to save the Wildcat Pride gazebo when new trailers planned for Dunwoody High School in Summer 2018 threatened to tear down the gazebo
- Supported the Peachtree Charter Council to preserve and ensure the PCMS Charter renewal in 2016
- Successfully lobbied DCSD BOE to adopt a dual accreditation path via Georgia Accrediting Commission due to the “probation” status to SACS accreditation
